Patois is not our invention. It is not a trend, a font choice, or a design element. It is a living language shaped by centuries of history — by the hills of St. Elizabeth and the parishes of Portland, by the yards and the markets and the churches and the dancehalls and the kitchens where real life happens. Every phrase we use was born in community, refined by community, and belongs to community.

What we claim is a commitment: to accuracy, to context, to the kind of storytelling that honors origin rather than erasing it. We present Patois in its authentic form. We pair it with meaning — not to simplify the language but to extend its reach. Translation, for us, is an act of respect.
